Q.
We have our own trucks, why should we use your service?

Q. Do I need my own insurance?
A. No, insurance is provided at no additional charge to you.

Q. I have heard rumors that most people have trouble with the pre-trip (walk-around) inspection. Is it that difficult?
A. No! We will go over the pre-trip inspection to ensure you pass on very first try. Our trucks have passed over 3,000 pre trip inspections!

Q. How can I be sure not to fail the walk-around inspection?
A. The walk-around procedure guide is found in the official Department of Motor Vehicles Commercial Driver's License Handbook. Pick up a copy from any DMV and study, study, study!

Q. How many people pass on the first try?
A. Jiffy's enjoys a 97% first time overall pass rate. Failures are few!

Q. Are the inspectors friendly?
A. Yes! In fact, all the inspectors that we work with are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing.

Q. How do I make an appointment with you?
A. Simply call and let us know that you are ready to proceed. We will then contact the DMV appointment desk and schedule an appointment for your drive test. We will call and notify you of the date and time of your test and work out a mutually acceptable time to practice.

Q. Where are you located?
A. We have rental stores located in Redding, West Sacramento and Stockton, California.

Q. Do you require a good faith deposit?
A. Yes! Due to excessive last minute cancellations we now require a $300.00 non refundable deposit at the time of reservation. We accept Visa, M/C or money orders. Please understand that we have, in good faith reserved a truck and a licensed rider especially for you on the date and time of your test and the DMV does not allow us to fill your appointment with another client if you cancel. Consequently, the appointment is wasted. Please be sure that you will be able to keep your reservation when you contract our services.

A. There are several reasons:
1. Our trucks are ready when you are.
2. You do not have to lose revenue by taking your truck off the job.
3. You do not need to send a driver with you to DMV.
4. Our trucks have passed over 3,000 pre-trip inspections, so there is no worry about being turned away for a defect found with the truck before the test even begins.

Q. Do you have a truck available for a Class B test?
A. Yes, our trucks may be used for a Class A or Class B test.

Q. Can you teach me how to drive a truck?
A. Yes, that is not a problem!

Q. Please describe your typical customer
A. Our customers are people with some prior truck driving experience acquired either off-road or by having held a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in the past.

Q. Can I use the truck to brush up on my skills?
A. Yes, a licensed rider from Jiffy's Truck Rental will ride with you while you practice.

Q. How much does it cost to rent your truck?
A. Only $225.00 to use the truck for a test. Practice hours are available at $85.00 per hour.

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. We accept cash, your company's check, VISA or Mastercard. (No personal checks).

Q. What if I fail?
A. Even though failures are few, failures occur from time to time. It is important to understand that the CDL drive test is in itself a learning experience. Try not to make the same mistakes twice. If you fail, before you leave the DMV, simply make another drive test appointment that suits you. We, in turn, will reserve the truck for your next drive test.
